Babe Ruth autographed baseballs & game used bat

"Every strike brings me closer to the next home run" - Babe Ruth
For many of us the "Babe" will always be something of legends, regardless of other home run hitters in today's game. The "Bambino" or "Sultan of Swat" will always be the greatest home run hitter ever.
For a sports fan, there is no greater trophy that can sit on your mantle then a autographed baseball or signed game used bat. Considering Babe Ruth played from 1914-1935 (yes that's 21 years, simply amazing), there are plenty of these balls and bats out there, but each one has a special story, something of legend. But why does he hold such a special place in our hearts? Maybe it was his larger than life personality or maybe his charity. It has been said that Ruth would sit around for hour after hour to sign baseballs for fans. Imagine doing that without getting paid huge bucks like some modern day MLB players.
In 1927 he hit 60 homeruns, not bad for a former pitcher! Could you imagine Nolan Ryan stepping up and going long for 60 homers? I think not (no offense Nolan, you are the greatest!)
Lets take a look at why you should invest in babe ruth autographed baseballs or game used bats:
- 3rd on all-time home run list with 714
- 10th all-time batting average list with .342 !!!!
- 2nd on all-time RBI list with 2,217
- 1st on all-time slugging percentage with 0.690
- 2nd on all-time on-base % list with .474
- 1st on all-time OPS with 1.164
- 4th on all-time runs list with 2,174
- 6th on all-time total bases list with 5,793
- 3rd on all-time bases on balls list with 2,062
- Babe Ruths pitching was the bomb: 89–46 with the Red Sox and was 5–0 with the Yankees overall.

Product Review: Mickey Mantle Hand Painted Baseball by Mike Floyd
This may be one of my favorite baseballs out there, just look at the beauty of this ball. I have to hand it to Mike Floyd, he is the man, I just wish that I had more items like this in my collection.
Sometimes I wonder why card companies don't get smart and lock Mike Floyd into a long term deal where his paintings are put into products like Sweet Spot or even Exquisite.
Mickey Mantle of the New York Yankees continues to be on of the most collected players out there. Sure you can buy yourself a Mickey Mantle autograph ball, but no why not have a piece of art with a Hand Painted Baseball - by Mike Floyd.
