About Me
Move over boys, I am moving in!
SportsCardGirl is the brainchild of myself (Brandy Ruth) who has been an avid sports fan ever since my dad took me to Games (Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Lakers, Clippers, Chargers & Raiders). I just remembered how awesome I would feel when walking into the giant stadiums and the feel of excitement would rush over me.
Recently I discovered how much fun collecting Sports Cards can be!!! Move over coffee there is a new buzz in town. Nothing like tearing into a fresh pack and waiting for that crazy thrill that comes with not knowing what player you will get. Will it be Magic, Bird, Jordan, Kobe, Arod, Jeter, Gretzky or Tom Brady (oh he's hot)? I am crazy about card collecting and feel like this is a passion I can share with people all around the world. I have launched this website to be able to share my crazy obsession with the world. I would really like to be able to go to the Nationals some day, maybe someone would sponsor me to go?! Some stuff that I LOVE doing: camping, playing sports, card collecting (obviously), blogging, tweeting, going to scary movies, swimming at the beach and playing Xbox 360 (favorite game is Guitar Hero, no I don't sing). I am trying to make some money with my blog through advertising and selling cards out of my collection. I plan on doing lots of videos of me busting boxes and talking about latest sports events. If you enjoy my site, I would really would appreciate any help with letting other people know about my site.
Why buy from Brandy?
I believe that each customer should be treated how we wish to be treated, thus you will get the very best of us at all times. Buying on the internet can sometimes make people feel uncomfortable, this is why I try and go the extra mile to give our business a "human" feel. Rest assured you are buying from honest, hard working crazy sports fan. Buy from a fresh face who is really stoked to be selling sports cards and hobby boxes, not that old grumpy Joe down the street or the faceless corporations. Buy now and maybe I will throw in a bonus for you!

Brandy,
Hmmm new player on the block. Welcome is what I say. I have collected cards since the 1980′s and sold them online and offline as well. The market has seen it’s ups and downs thats for sure.
During the 80′s Topps was king, but they lost that during the 90′s when Upper deck came in and changed everything we thought about collecting cards. The biggest change I have seen is prices per packs. I remember as a kid paying 25 cents a pack for topps cards and a box was only 15-20.00, but those days are long gone.
I use to run a sportscard newsletter and sold cards offline a lot. I have given most of my cards to my son. Your entering a tough market at times, but one that is very fun. Enjoy yourself and I can tell you have a great passion for it. Best of luck.
Kenneth
Thanks for the kind words Kenneth! I really enjoy collecting cards and have a lot to learn. I hope I can breath some kind of new ideas into the marketplace.
I’m busting a ginter box early next week. Have you opened any yet? Any luck?
Nothing Huge, I got a pretty sweet mini though, hopefully I can finish editing the video for the site later today.
My Ginter hobby was a bust. Got nothing but a Votto jersey. That was mentioned because I’m a Reds fan. Good luck with your breaks.
That’s really lame, what player do you collect from the Reds?
I collect Homer Bailey. I have plenty of his rookies. My cousin is actually good friends with him. Channing, my cousin, befriended Homer while he was in AA in Chattanooga. I’ve even had the chance to meet Homer. Very nice guy. I hope he can keep up his good pitching. If anyone needs a Homer Bailey rookie, just give me a holler.

I’m a huge Yankee fan you can check out my PC on YouTube. SportsCardGirl, you seem like someone who really likes sports and I think you’ll do fine selling.
Hey Brandy,
I’m Brian. I’ve been involved with sports cards off and on 24 years.
It’s cool to see you getting involved. I like your site, stumbled upon it through SCF, and believe you’re doing quite well.
I’m getting back into the scene. I’ve alway liked Elway, the Broncos, and former USC GameCocks alumni.
I’ll be opening a local carp shop soon. In the meantime I’ll be dealing online, the flea market, and shows.
Keep up the good work. I’ll check you out more often.
Brian
glad you are enjoying the blog!!!
I got a very special Elway patch/autograph card numbered 10/10 that I have on my way right now!!!
